And Nigeria sees its 53rd year!!!!
I am not going to dwell on the negative aspect of the “journey so far” for Nigeria as a nation, but will rather embrace the positive.
We should be thankful on this day that we are still together as a nation, we should be thankful that despite all odds, e.g boko haram, lack of steady electricity supply, lack of clean water in some areas, lack of water, floods, kidnapping, corrupt government officials; that we are still together as one country.
That we, the citizens still have hope and trust in God to wake up everyday and go about our hustles and bustles….we should be joyous that we still have life and as far as record goes….we are still one of the most creative and enduring nations of the world…
You know what baby okus? Come what may; fire, hail, brimstones…..I will ALWAYS proclaim NIGERIA to be my country….because it takes sheer will…both physical and emotional to be a Nigerian!
So here’s to all baby okus and bobo okus who are Nigerian and proud….our stories WILL be written someday!
